Dun Rig from Traquair Mill – for experienced riders, 1000m ascent/descent, 27.7km, ca. 3-4hrs, bunkhouse at start/end

This ride takes in some of the finest scenery you can find in the Borders. Not far away from the Innerleithen and Glentress man-made trails, this is a great ride on natural trails climbing the second highest Graham in the Borders, Dun Rig. The last bit of the climb is a proper bike and hike, so please be prepared, but the effort is worth it, you are treated to ride a fabulous ridge ride, descending and ascending to Stake Law and Birkscairn Hill, with a great downhill into the valley and a short stretch on a quiet singletrack road back to the starting point.
